With so many seats to choose out there its no wonder that it can become so confusing. Infant car seats, convertibles and finally the boosters. 20lb's, 40lb's 65lb's Yikes! What's a mother to do?
Well I'll tell you what I did! I did my research and found that the Britax Marathon gave me more value and safety for my buck than any other car seat on the market. The Marathon is a Convertible Child Seat with LATCH that can be used rear facing for children 5 to 33 pounds and forward facing up to 65 pounds. The child's height should be between 18 and 49 inches. Not to mention that your little ones are secured by a five point harness that displaces the energy evenly across their precious little bodies. The Marathon with its patented lock-off, versa-tether and latch belt make this the easiest and most secure seat to install. Even though I was not thrilled about the color choices for my little girl online. I chose the Ashley floral pattern SO CUTE!!! and found the best price of $219.99 offered at travelingtikes.com including shipping. Do yourself's a favor and invest in your child's safety. I know that when I get behind the wheel of my car that I feel more confident now knowing that I have a Britax, than when we had our first infant car seat. Happy travels!

Our daughter Reagan loves this seat. She falls asleep everytime we put her in it. It has very comfortable foam padding. It is easy to take out and install and adjust the straps. I love the padded covers over the straps that keep them from cutting into her skin. Maybe a little pricey but I was told it is suppose to be the "cadillac of car seats". Britax also has some of the best safety reviews of any seat and you can't put a price on safety. Also it is a good way to start your little Bama fan off right.

This is the best car seat I have ever used! Very easy to use, especially with the latch system eliminates using the seat belts. This seat has a protector around the bottom of the buckle to prevent burns if the buckle get too hot and fabric covers on the top of the straps to keep kids from getting rub marks on their neck.
Using this seat for 6 years.

Bought this seat when my son was 1 yr old but not heavy enough to be turned around facing front (20 lbs.). He was long and leggy so I needed something bigger than what I had (something that came with a stroller).

Used the Latch and tether until he exceeded the weight limit for latch (42 lbs. according to the manual)(now using seat belt/tether as directed). Still using this seat- my son is 7 and a half. We love the harness, it protects him better! He sits higher so he can see out. The seat cover comes off and is completely washable. During the time we've had this there was a recall on the strap between the legs that tightens the shoulder straps and we received it in the mail with complete and easy to follow directions to fix.

This is the Mercedes (*TM) of car seats! Exceeds US and European safety standards!

At the time this was a bit of an extravagant purchase but well worth it!! It has lasted us this long!

Everything that touches your child is removable-and washable. It's a bit complicated getting it all back together. If you aren't comfortable- take the cover off and put it in the shower and hose it off....straps and all. Soap and water the juice/food/yuck stains.

Really! Bought this April 2003 and still using it (one child)! It's pristine!

I was thrilled to find the UF Marathon since it has been sold out for so long. If you are considering buying one do it quick b/c they go fast. Great car seat! Baby loves it and daddy likes it too!
